CurraNZ was founded by New Zealander Fleur Cushman who had the vision to harness the natural power of New Zealand blackcurrants to share with the rest of the world.
Fleur grew up under the life-shaping influence of her father, natural health pioneer and visionary Mike Cushman, who changed the face of the natural healthcare industry in the Southern Hemisphere with his 'Clinicians' range of vitamin and mineral supplements.
It was Mike who shared with Fleur the power of New Zealand blackcurrants – that thanks to New Zealand's cold winters, long sunshine hours, strong summer UV rays and mineral-rich soil, these particular berries boast 30% more antioxidants than European and North American varieties.
This clean, green Southern Hemisphere nation is a world-leading producer of blackcurrants, which are supercharged by sunlight, resulting in one of the most nutrient-rich, anthocyanin-dense commercially-grown fruits on the planet.
The important Anthocyanin and Flavonoid compounds are amazingly powerful molecules that protect, strengthen and repair our body and mind.
Fleur and her UK Co-Founder, Nicki Bundock, harnessed this natural power to create and launch CurraNZ in the UK in 2014. And CurraNZ customers have been thanking them ever since.
New Zealander Fleur has lived in the UK for over 20 years and before launching CurraNZ, was a sports journalist and editor on a leading national newspaper based in London.
The other half of 'Team Health Currancy' is commercial director and mum-of-two, Nicki Bundock, MBA, a high achiever in the aviation industry and also a huge sports fan.
Mike is closely involved in the New Zealand blackcurrant industry and sees first-hand the care and passion of growers and processors alike. Mike's sporting resumé reads like a textbook on a good Kiwi upbringing; rowing, rugby union and league, cricket and cycling competitively, so it's fair to say he has a passion for all sport.
